"Established in the mid-1980s, Graham Beck focuses solely these days on Cap Classique (traditional-method sparkling) wines. This 100% Chardonnay vintage bubbly was half barrel-fermented and aged for four years on lees in bottle before disgorgement. It offers a creamy brioche depth, lively acidity and a purity of apple, pear and lemon citrus fruit. Enjoyable drinking now, but this will also develop nicely over the next decade. "

"The 2019 Blanc de Blancs sees five months ageing on the primary lees, with 60 months on the lees before disgorgement in March 2025. It has a vibrant and fresh bouquet, with crisp green apple and Conference pear, gaining intensity as it opens in the glass. The palate is well balanced, with a slightly creamy textured opening, but the acidity (again) maintains tension and there is an unexpected but welcome touch of spice on the finish. Very fine."
