"The single-vineyard Alpha Estate 2024 Assyrtiko Ecosystem Aghia Kiriaki shows aromas of candied pear, lemon custard and honeydew melon alongside a distinct mineral character marked by chalk and crushed stone. There is impressive tension and firmness on the palate, carried through a long and polished finish. The wine comes from the Aghia Kiriaki vineyard in Amyndeon at 535 meters above sea level with alluvial sandy and sandy clay soils. Fermented in stainless steel after 16 hours of skin contact and aged on the lees for eight months, the wine gains texture and complexity without sacrificing the grape's vibrant acidity. Produced in 18,000 bottles, this is a focused and well-executed expression of Assyrtiko from northern Greece."

"The Alpha Estate 2023 Assyrtiko Ecosystem Aghia Kiriaki (in a heavy glass bottle) is a true beauty, offering yet another very compelling argument for Assyrtiko as one of the great grapes of Greece and the world. It offers a complex bouquet of lemon, tangerine and something very chiseled and sharp like shards of limestone. It is sweet and salty at the same time. I also get a green leafy note and white flower. This wine shows structure, firmness and pretty acidity. A sweet note of key lime pie is very distinctive on the close. The Florina appellation has well-draining alluvial sand and sandy clay soils. Fruit comes from a 2.45-hectare site at a breezy 535 meters above sea level. Winemaking in stainless steel sees eight months of sur lies aging and stirring."

"Sleek and fragrant, with petrol, pine and juniper berry notes accenting the flavors of pink grapefruit fruit, Meyer lemon peel, blood orange granita and white pepper as they expand through the mouthwatering finish. - AN"
