Tasting Notes

Apologue Aronia Liqueur is a botanical berry liqueur produced by Apologue in Thornton, Illinois. Native to the Midwest, aronia is a shrub which produces tannic, earthy berries sometimes referred to as “chokeberries” due to their high astringency. Aronia berries sourced from a collective of four farms in Iowa and Nebraska are pressed, and the juice is used to proof down their botanical maceration which includes raspberry, tart Montmorency cherry, wild rose hip, Ashlock prune, cinnamon, lavender, orris root, sweet and bitter orange peel, and lemon peel.

Sweetened with organic cane sugar, the resulting liqueur displays vibrant aronia berry, cherry, and raspberry which give way to soft floral overtones of lavender and rosehip with a touch of cinnamon. Great for lower proof brunch cocktails and day drinks, try adding some to your sparkling wine, cider, or wheat beer for an elevated experience! 24% ABV, Certified OU-Pareve Kosher
