Located in Novacella in the Isarco River Valley the estate was founded in 1142 by Augustinian monks. Sourced from 80 ha. of steep vineyards composed mainly of granitic schist, created by ancient glaciers. Winemaker Celestino Lucin crafts world class wines with a tremendous price/quality ratio.
Altamonte is one of Alto Adige’s oldest and smallest cooperative wineries, and one of the best wine producers in the region. Their vineyard sites offer a wide array of soil types and elevations ranging from 220 to 900 meters, producing distinctive wines that reflect their origin and their terroir.
Christian Plattner’s tiny Waldgries estate is located in the Saint Magdalener hills just outside the town of Bolzano in Alto Adige. The red grapes Schiava and Lagrein thrive here at this warm focal point of three alpine valleys and Christian’s expression are well-known as the best of the best.
