REGION: Ribera del Duero
La Rioja Alta's project in the Ribera del Duero, where terroir and microclimate combine for the utmost expression of Tempranillo. In 2000, having verified the quality of the vineyards, a winery was built representing a perfect combination of cutting-edge wine-making technology and timeless design.
The Moro family has been farming the same vineyards since 1932, the birth year of Emilio Moro, as well as the year the Finca Resalso vineyard was planted. The bodega joined the D.O. Ribera del Duero in 1989 and quickly established itself as one of the region’s top producers of high-quality wines.
Founded in 1903, Finca Torremilanos is the second-oldest estate in what is now Ribera del Duero DO, as well as the first-ever Demeter-certified biodynamic winery in the appellation. A family-run gem marching to the beat of its own drum, producing both traditional and experimental wines.
San Román Bodegas y Viñedos is Mariano García and his family’s second winery in the Duero Valley, after Bodegas Mauro. Over 140 hectares of organically-grown vineyards are being converted to biodynamic viticulture production in order to increase the organic matter & foster biodiversity in the soil.
