Finca Torremilanos

Finca Torremilanos is one of the defining wineries of Ribera del Duero. The 170-hectare estate in Aranda de Duero is the second-oldest wine-producing winery in what is now Ribera del Duero DO (after Vega Sicilia). The current regime dates back to the late 70s and were instrumental in the establishment of the DO in 1982. The iconic Pilar Pérez Albéniz remains comfortably at the helm of the business even after her two sons, Ricardo and Vicente, took over winemaking and sales respectively in the early 2000’s. Upon taking the reins, Ricardo immediately implemented biodynamic practices across the entire estate and in 2015, Torremilanos became the first-ever Demeter-certified estate winery in the appellation. All wines are fermented with native yeast and all vineyards are cultivated without herbicides or insecticides in accordance with biodynamic principal. A historic, family-run gem that marches to the beat of its own drummer by producing classic expressions of Ribera del Duero Tempranillo alongside a myriad of white, rosé, and clarete styles, many of which have little to no sulfur applications.
