Albero d’Oro
Albero d’Oro Marasca Cherries, conceived in 1995 and reformulated for the modern palate in 2021, are premium cocktail cherries born from tradition, terroir, and craftsmanship, prepared using a time-honored Italian process passed down over seven generations. Albero d’Oro—which translates to “golden tree” in Italian—is the name given to marasca cherry trees and aptly refers to the candied fruit which has become the gold standard for cocktail cherries around the world.
Albero d’Oro cherries are made from non-GMO Bulgarian marasca cherries grown in volcanic soil, which contributes to the fruit’s concentrated flavor, acidity, and color. The cherries are harvested by hand and sorted for quality before undergoing a brief saltwater brine to balance the natural sugars and to preserve the fruit’s texture and flavors. Finally, the cherries are combined with a spiced syrup—a closely guarded family recipe—resulting in a rich and layered sweet-tart cherry brimming with subtle savory spice.
Each cherry is delicately handled and sorted from field to jar to preserve their perfect shape, firm texture, and signature snap; and every jar contains an equal mix of cherries and syrup, so be sure to utilize the decadent syrup in cocktails and sodas, or over ice cream and other desserts.
