CALIFORNIA – ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE ASSOCIATE, CREDIT & COLLECTIONS
This role is primarily focused on collections and account management within Accounts Receivable. You’ll work independently within your assigned portfolio while also supporting shared team responsibilities such as payment application and other AR-related tasks. The environment is structured, but day-to-day prioritization is largely driven by the needs of your accounts.
This is a fully remote position, working 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Pacific Time.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage an assigned portfolio of customer accounts, with ownership over aging performance and timely collections follow-up.
- Monitor aging daily and reach out proactively once invoices become past due.
- Act as the primary AR contact for assigned customers, handling collections-related questions, account reconciliations, and credit-related inquiries (non-sales related).
- Review and release orders from credit hold in accordance with established company credit policies.
- Apply incoming payments (checks, wires, ACH) and assist with shared cash application responsibilities across the team.
- Research discrepancies, deductions, and short payments, working toward timely resolution.
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation of collection activity and customer communications.
- Work with internal teams, including sales, when coordination is needed to resolve payment issues.
- Support ad hoc projects or additional AR tasks as priorities shift.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2–4 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, collections, or related finance roles.
- Experience working within an ERP environment (Microsoft Dynamics NAV preferred but not required).
- Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Teams, and standard business tools.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
- Clear, professional communication skills when working with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
COMPENSATION:

CONNECTICUT – SPIRITS PART-TIME TASTING SERVICE, CENTRAL (HARTFORD & SURROUNDING AREA)
Tasters will pour samples, serve cocktails, educate the public on the featured producers, and spirits categories at large, and engage with retail store staff, with the goal of encouraging sales and building the brands of these independent, craft Spirit producers.
HOURS:
Part-Time
- Thursday-Saturday (as available)
- Approximately 4pm-8pm (varies by day and tasting scheduled)
- Tasters will be able to set their availability in advance, and are not required to be available all three days each weekend, but a general availability of at least two days the majority of weekends is expected.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain detailed product knowledge and enthusiasm for craft spirits, on par with the standards of the Skurnik Spirits team. Tasters will receive training for the specific products they’re showcasing, but a general background and understanding of the category such as distillation processes, cocktail usage, history and context of categories, etc is essential.
- Maintain a personal supply of samples and tasting materials, coordinating with Tasting Service management as replacements are needed and performing quarterly inventories.
- Travel within an approximately 45 minute – 1hr radius from the taster’s home to the location for each tasting, arriving in a prepared, timely fashion. Depending on geographic area, this may require a car and valid drivers’ license.
- Prepare and serve cocktails which demonstrate products in a compelling, approachable format. Fresh ingredients, garnishes, and professional service are essential.
- Pitch and showcase brands and products to the general public, attracting interest from customers, encouraging them to engage with producers in an active fashion, and attracting sales for the retail store.
- Educate shop staff on products and brands shown during the tasting, equipping them with the tools to make future hand-sales to their customers.
- Maintain a supply of branded point-of-sale materials, and present them during tastings. (varies by region)

NEW JERSEY – REGIONAL SALES MANAGER, NORTHERN NEW JERSEY
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT
- Relationship Management: The Northern NJ RSM should have strong relationships with all accounts of significance with responsibilities to include:
- Off Premise: achieving increased points of distribution across important company brands; ensuring appropriate shelf space/displays in key accounts.
- On Premise: Acting as a primary source of market intelligence for restaurant openings, closings, and broader on-premise trends throughout Northern NJ.
- Serving as an additional point of contact.
- Resolving customer issues by following appropriate processes and escalating issues to upper management/EXEC as appropriate.
- Account Assignment:
- Determine sales rep coverage when account ownership is unclear, balancing sales opportunity, rep bandwidth, and team cohesion.
- Ensure optimal coverage to maximize sales while maintaining positive internal relationships
- Account Reassignment:
- Identify when accounts require reassignment.
- Communicate decisions clearly, manage transitions, and oversee performance post-transition to ensure continuity and growth.
TERRITORY/REP MANAGEMENT
- Direct Supervision of Northern NJ Sales Reps and Spirits Specialist:
- Oversee all aspects of rep management, including Individual and account-level performance evaluation, budget oversight, and approval of time-off requests.
- Territory Development, Recruiting & Performance Management:
- Serve as an ambassador of Skurnik’s culture within the Northern NJ market.
- Cultivate relationships with emerging wine professionals to build a long-term talent pipeline.

- Collaborate on accounts that span both Northern and Southern New Jersey, including chain retailers, buying groups, and multi-location on-premise groups.
- Share market intelligence, competitive insights, and best practices to identify opportunities for cross-regional growth and improved execution.
- Coordinate on territory coverage, account transitions, and temporary coverage needs to ensure continuity of service during staffing changes or periods of transition.
- Align on supplier visits, market work-with schedules, and regional events to maximize impact and avoid duplication of effort.
PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT COLLABORATION:
- Partner closely with Portfolio Managers to:
- Launch new brands in New Jersey.
- Prioritize focus brands based on regional opportunity.
- Provide feedback on market trends, competitive pressures, and customer needs.
- Collaboration will occur through regular one-on-one communication and monthly Portfolio Management / Sales Management meetings.
ON/OFF-SITE EVENT INVOLVEMENT:
- Lead planning, execution, and evaluation of Northern New Jersey-based tastings and market events
- Support and participate in major NYC-based tastings, including the Grand Portfolio Tasting, as appropriate for the Northern NJ market
- Maximize the use of Skurnik office space and supplier-provided resources by:
- Driving Northern NJ accounts into the office for presentations and portfolio reviews
- Assisting with invitations and attendance for in-house and regional events
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Must have 3-5 years of experience in sales, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong leadership and team management skills are essential for motivating and guiding the sales team.
- Ability to analyze sales data and market trends to make informed decisions.

NEW JERSEY – SPIRITS PART-TIME TASTING SERVICE, CENTRAL/SOUTH
Tasters will pour samples, serve cocktails, educate the public on the featured producers, and spirits categories at large, and engage with retail store staff, with the goal of encouraging sales and building the brands of these independent, craft Spirit producers.
HOURS:
Part-Time
- Thursday-Saturday (as available)
- Approximately 4pm-8pm (varies by day and tasting scheduled)
- Tasters will be able to set their availability in advance, and are not required to be available all three days each weekend, but a general availability of at least two days the majority of weekends is expected.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain detailed product knowledge and enthusiasm for craft spirits, on par with the standards of the Skurnik Spirits team. Tasters will receive training for the specific products they’re showcasing, but a general background and understanding of the category such as distillation processes, cocktail usage, history and context of categories, etc is essential.
- Maintain a personal supply of samples and tasting materials, coordinating with Tasting Service management as replacements are needed and performing quarterly inventories.
- Travel within an approximately 45 minute – 1hr radius from the taster’s home to the location for each tasting, arriving in a prepared, timely fashion. Depending on geographic area, this may require a car and valid drivers’ license.
- Prepare and serve cocktails which demonstrate products in a compelling, approachable format. Fresh ingredients, garnishes, and professional service are essential.
- Pitch and showcase brands and products to the general public, attracting interest from customers, encouraging them to engage with producers in an active fashion, and attracting sales for the retail store.
- Educate shop staff on products and brands shown during the tasting, equipping them with the tools to make future hand-sales to their customers.
- Maintain a supply of branded point-of-sale materials, and present them during tastings. (varies by region)
- Apply and maintain shelf talkers for featured brands before or after the in-store tasting. (varies by region)
- Visually audit and record retail shelves as it pertains to poured/tasted items.
- Promptly fill out a detailed recap form following each tasting.
- Accurately maintain a personal availability calendar for the purposes of bookings.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with preparing and submitting brand registrations, renewals, and franchise filings for various states/markets.
- Help review new product entries in Navision (in-house software) to ensure the required compliance information is complete.
- Support the preparation of monthly state reports (such as gallonage reports) for timely submission.
- Update and maintain compliance records in Navision, including registration details, expiration dates, and deletions.
