Sotol (Marcelo Flores) 'Durango'

• Sotol produced in El Mezquital, Durango, Mexico
• Maestro Mezcalero Marcelo Flores
• 100% Sotol (Dasylirion sp)
• Cooked using a traditional earthen pit oven 
• Milled by hand using a small axe 
• Fermented in pine wood-lined stone vats using spring water
• Distilled twice in a Filipino-style hybrid still of copper, wood, and agave quiote
• Fibrous and bold with barnyard aromatics of hay, wildflowers, and charred vegetables, followed by sweet depths of cacao, burnt sugar, smoked tea, and plum sauce
• 50 liters produced in January 2023
• 48.5% ABV (ABV may vary batch to batch)
