• Aged rhum agricole produced by Rhum Clément in Le François, Martinique
• AOC Martinique Rhum
• Distilled from sugarcane juice at Fonds-Préville Distillery in Macouba, Martinique
• Open-tank fermented with French baker’s yeast for 24 hours
• Distilled in a Creole copper column still
• Aged, blended, and bottled at Habitation Clément
• Aged 4 years in a combination of ex–bourbon, new French oak, and French oak casks previously used to mature Rhum Clément
• Big fruity notes of golden delicious apple with mocha and salted toffee on the nose lead to a soft, oaky palate of stone fruit, dry grass, and licorice root with a peppery finish
• No added sugar or coloring
• 42% ABV

Clément V.S.O.P is an aged, or vieux, rhum agricole that, in accordance with the V.S.O.P. designation, is barrel aged for a minimum of four years—in this case, in a combination of ex–bourbon, new French oak, and ex–Clément rhum French oak casks. The French oak influence steers the fruity esters of the rhum in a direction that should please fans of aged agricole and Cognac alike.
