"Absolutely prototypical in its pale colour, crunchy red fruit and stemmy complexity. The lightest, coolest style of Pinot Noir that has wonderful expressiveness even when served at around 8 celcius. "Bright crimson colour, perfumed and precise with lifted peony and violet floral notes alongside red cherry, green strawberry, five spice-edged plum sauce and darker blackcurrant and beetroot intensity. Ripe but present taffeta tannins allow some play to the fruit but contain it on the tightly-wound finish. A similar composition and vinification to the 2016, yet this is fresh and very youthful, almost the polar opposite in a milder, lower-yielding year."
