"The 2025 Gruner Veltliner Hochstrasser Federspiel grows on weathered gneiss mixed with sand, between Schutt and Kreutles and below the Loibenberg. Vivid fern perfume, with ivy and moss overtones, plunges straight into the varietal nature of Gruner, edged with citrus. The palate is zesty and firm, with gentle pepper and a green citrus quality that come together in a beautifully taut, slender picture. This wine has direction and is totally bright."

"Sliced green apples, fresh grapefruit and wet stones on the nose of this medium-bodied white. It™s zingy and refreshing, with lively acidity and a crisp, elegant and stony finish. Drink now or hold. Screw cap."

"The 2022 Grüner Veltliner Hochstrasser Federspiel is picked at the foot of the Loibenberg, where the soils are eroded and weathered gneiss mixes with sand and a little loam. Gentle notes of fern bring green fragrance with subtle citrus inflections. The palate has that same fern-scented gentleness on a slender, poised body that channels Grüner's herbal spice into elongated elegance. Very poised. (Bone-dry)"
