Creme de Fraise des Bois, Giffard
Bigallet has been producing handcrafted syrups and liqueurs in the French Alps since 1872. The founder, Felix Bigallet, would create and hand deliver his artisanal spirits to the pubs and inns of Lyon by horse and cart. Today, Bigallet employs the same techniques and care used in the 19th century to bring these top quality spirits to the world market (minus the horse and cart.) Enjoy!

Giffard’s Creme de Fraise des Bois smells of jammy red berry fruit with hints of watermelon. The tart, intense strawberry flavor comes through on the palate, where it is tempered by refreshing acidity. The Fraise des Bois is made by macerating the tiny strawberries that grow wild in the French countryside as well as the larger and sweeter Senga-Sengana strawberries. The combination of the two types of strawberries give this liqueur a complex flavor.
