- 100% Chenin Blanc
- Sourced from a single, dry-farmed vineyard planted in 1989
- East-facing site at 180m ASL, 27km from the coast with granite and clay shale soils
- Farmed following organic and regenerative principles
- Hand harvested
- Whole bunch pressed and fermented with indigenous yeasts
- Aged for 10 months in 43% seasoned barrels, 47% concrete eggs, and 10% ceramic amphorae
- In that time, the wine saw 100% malolactic fermentation and 8 months on the lees
- The name is derived from the Afrikaans saying “agteros kom ook in die kraal” (translated as “the hind ox also gets there eventually”) because the vineyard took a long time to prove itself and now Joostenberg’s favorite and oldest vineyard.

"Lemons, fresh peaches and hints of custard on the nose, followed by a creamy, medium-bodied palate with bright and juicy fruit. From organically grown grapes. Drink now."
