A Coroa

A Coroa

Considered one of the oldest wineries in Galicia, Adega A Coroa was erected in the 18th century, located in the center of Valdeorras on a crown shaped promontory that gives the winery it’s name. The original winery fell into a period of dilapidation until 2002, when the family began restoring the winery with only locally sourced stone, clays, wood and slate. In the last two decades since the López Vicente family decided to take their fourth-generation Valdeorras winegrowing know-how to the next level of quality, their Adega A Coroa has risen into the top ranks of the appellation.

The delicious and classic estate Godello is selected from various parcels, all planted to relatively mature vines (35 years is on the older side, given the relatively recent renaissance of Godello!) on gentle slopes of broken pizarra (slate).
