San Luis Valley Straight Rye, 6 Year Bottled in Bond, Laws Whiskey House
Laws Whiskey House is a fiercely independent Colorado distillery committed to producing the highest quality whiskey using local ingredients. Each batch is milled, cooked, fermented, distilled, and aged on-site, utilizing heirloom grains from family-owned Colorado farms. The practice of open-air, on-grain fermentation captures the essence of Colorado’s terroir while the copper pot/column still hybrid produces a robust, grain-forward style of whiskey.

The first rye whiskey to be Bottled in Bond in Colorado history hails from the San Luis Valley. Rye grain harvested from a single season and shaped by Laws as the single distiller is then aged in a federally bonded rackhouse for at least six years in new, 53-gallon, charred oak barrels. With a mash bill of 95% Heirloom Rye and 5% Heirloom Barley, San Luis Valley Bottled in Bond has aromas of sweet grass and brine with a palate of cooling mint, fennel, and secondary accents of sea salt, orange tea, and brown sugar. 50% ABV
