• Islay single malt Scotch independently bottled by Epicurean Selection as part of the Rites of Passage Cask Selection Series
• Distilled at Bunnahabhain Distillery on Islay on December 2^nd, 1991
• Aged in a first-fill Oloroso sherry butt until 2017 when it was partially re-racked by Epicurean Selection in a first-fill Oloroso sherry barrel, creating cask #5432A
• Bottled on October 5^th, 2022; aged over 30 years
• A nose of brioche and waning campfire smoke precedes a beautifully balanced palate of lemon zest, oak, and reduced maple syrup. A spike of peat near the end of the arc settles into a finish of salted graham crackers.
• 249 bottles produced in total
• No added coloring
• Non-chill filtered; bottled at a cask strength of 47.3% ABV

Founded in 1881, Bunnahabhain [BUH•nah•HAV•enn] has evolved greatly over the last 140-plus years. This 30-year-old expression, aged in a true sherry solera cask instead of a quickly seasoned barrel, is a time capsule of one of Islay’s most historic distilleries.
