Sangiovese ‘Pietranera’, Piaggia
100% Sangiovese grown at 250 meters above sea level from southwest facing vines planted to clay and galestro soils. Fermentation takes place using indigenous yeasts. Maceration occurs over the course of 18-20 days, following aging in French oak barrels for 3+ months. Wine rests in bottle for 6 months prior to release.
