Fresh blueberries and cherry, offset by hints of mint and rosemary, and evolving smoky minerals and dusty florals – all are present in the glass, as the 2017 Le Terrazze Rosso Conero then dazzles the palate with mineral-drenched tart cherries complemented by brisk acids with a tug of youthful tannin. It finishes youthfully tart, wonderfully fresh and energetic. This is a beautifully pure expression of Montepulciano fruit that should have no problem evolving over the next five years or more, yet there’s really no reason to wait.
