Rosé 'Etoile'

Rose Etoile DuPuis Wines

Etoile” Rose is a saignée made from Trousseau, Poulsard and small amount of Pinot Noir and is named after the small commune in the heart of the Jura region of France, where cuttings for this wine were sourced.  After crushing the grapes to tank a portion of the fresh juice is moved to cement eggs and neutral french oak barrels. Primary and Malolactic Fermentation occur spontaneously by native yeast. The resulting rose possesses a pale salmon color with aromas and flavors of watermelon rind, strawberries and tart cherry. Crisp and vibrant with sound acidity and slight effervescence from CO2 make this a great wine for the warm days of summer.
