Ott Feursbrunner Wagram Riesling

Riesling Feuersbrunn is sourced from two vineyards: Ried Kirchthal and Ried Losling, both are dominated by gravel-soils and cool winds, typical for the high terraces of the Hengstberg. Soils here are the typical red gravel of this area, with the sites high up on the hill.

Organic farming, selective hand picking in stainless steel boxes, skin contact for one day. Maturation on fine yeast for a couple of months

Tasting Notes

“Have to readjust the palate a moment….OK, there. We’re into elderflower and apricot in this village-wine, with a mid-palate jab of subtle mineral, into an endless tactile finish of stones and apricot blossom; a sophisticated Riesling with striking persistence, yet it’s indirect the way Dönnhoff’s Dellchen sometimes is. Hiedler’s Rieslings hold the other end of this string also” Terry Theise
