Red Wine ‘Washington State’ [Urban Artworks Label], Disruption

Our 2016 Red Wine blend is a softly layered and balanced wine, showcasing the strength of Bordeaux and Rhone varieties out of Washington’s Columbia Valley. Our fruit for this Red Blend is sourced from the Wahluke Slope and the Art Den Hoed Vineyard in Yakima, which are in the warmest parts of the Columbia Valley. The Cabernet Sauvignon (70%) is the backbone of this blend, it provides excellent structure that comes from older vines, the Syrah (15%) provides color and spice, while the Merlot (15%) brings lots of berry fruits and flesh, which rounds out a complex and layered soft wine. The wine is aged in 15% new French oak barrels with the balance aged in neutral, French casks. We at Disruption feel that Washington wine regions offer incredible fruit expression, density and softness that cannot be matched by any other wine region in the USA at this price point.
