“Quarzit” Riesling [Meddersheimer Rheingrafenberg], Hexamer
Hexamer’s Quarzit is sourced from a sub-section of the South by Southeast facing Medderheim Rheingrafenberg vineyard. This section in particular is where the soil changes from sedimentary rock and sandstone to quartzite. The grapes are harvested by hand, fermented using native yeasts in stainless steel, and racked after 6 weeks of fermentation. The 2016 is a delightfully charming vintage with 38 g/l of RS.
