"Made in slightly higher amounts than many of the producer's other estate wines, this is an outstanding value for the quality—a wildly delicious expression of the grape, region and vintage that is in cohesive harmony. Savory, rocky and textured, it blends 30% of its grapes from neighboring Hellenthal Vineyard, the combination exploding in red tangy fruit."

"The Bohan-Dilon is the only wine in the Hirsch lineup that includes fruit from outside the estate—about 25% of the 2018 The Bohan-Dilon Pinot Noir comes from the Hellenthal vineyard, contiguous to the Hirsch property. It's one of the more beautiful expressions of this cuvée I've tasted in some time. The nose is gorgeous, with pure aromas of crushed red cherries, garrigue, lilac, tea leaves and forest floor with more nuances coming through with time. The palate is light to medium-bodied and incredibly elegant, packed to the gills with flavor but weightless with its lively acidity and very fine graininess, finishing long and nuanced. What an incredible vintage for this cuvée!"
