Ziereisen Spätburgunder [Pinot Noir] 'Talrain'
Site: Talrain is on the border of the Black Forest and at 500m is the second highest elevation vineyard in Germany. Soils are limestone with a layer of iron-rich clay. The oldest vines are nearly 50 years old.
Fermentation: Spontaneous in stainless steel
Maceration: 6 Weeks on skins
Whole Cluster: 70% destemmed
Elevage: 2 years in large fuder, bottled without filtration
