Pinot Noir, ‘Moulin Rouge’, Peter Michael

This powerful, complex and rich Pinot is made from grapes grown by the Pisoni family, exceptional growers in the Santa Lucia Highlands of Monterey County. It is a wine we have been very pleased to offer for over 20 years. Le Moulin Rouge is the only wine in our portfolio made from grapes that are not estate grown.

Le Moulin Rouge was named in honor of the infamous Parisian nightclub, as well as a certain toast that has been given by Sir Peter, who has been known to good-humoredly roast himself and his friends as questionable characters of dubious repute.

Review:
The 2017 Pinot Noir Le Moulin Rouge Pisoni Vineyard is medium ruby-purple in color with a nose of warm black cherries, red plums and black raspberries with touches of black tea, tobacco, red roses and dusty soil. The palate is medium-bodied, elegant and refreshing with fine-grained tannins and an earthy finish.
