Pinot Noir, ‘Central Otago’, Mount Riley
This “limited release” Pinot Noir is Mount Riley’s foray into Central Otago. The fruit was sourced from the Gibbston Valley sub-region which is generally cooler, but the long hang time enabled slow maturation on the vine and expressive flavor development. Hand-picked late in the season on May 5, 2015. Minimal handling in the winery and matured in French oak barriques for 10 months prior to bottling.
