Pinot Noir, 'California', The Pinot Project
The 2019 growing season was a terrific one; long and warm, but not too hot. Early rains required a little extra vigilance to prevent mildew, but also brought about the end of the drought. Considered a vintage with consistent quality throughout the state, our fruit was able to express optimal ripeness and flavor maturity.
The Pinot Project Pinot Noir is handcrafted from high-quality vineyards in California’s Coastal Regions; from Monterey & San Benito in Central Coast to Suisun Valley in the North Coast. The diversity in soil and climate from these AVAs contributes to depth in character, balance and pristine fruit. The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness and then destemmed in order to express bright fruit flavors and maintain freshness.
• 100% Pinot Noir
• Each vineyard is vinified separately. The wines are then blended together to create our signature, approachable style.
• 20% of the wine sees French and American Oak.

Press & Reviews
Pure and expressive, this wine is more than just fruity, adding enticing black-tea and forest-floor notes to its tasty cherry and rhubarb core. Medium to full bodied, it offers fine-grained tannins to firm up the texture. This is the third excellent vintage in a row for this remarkable value wine. JIM GORDON
