Selbach Riesling QbA 'Red Label'
Wine Making: Spontaneous fermentation, mostly in stainless steel but there is some large old Mosel fuder used.
The small negoçiant firm of J&H Selbach are minor players in this market. Because they’re small, they’re more sensitive to blips in the cost of grapes or juice, but they’re also able (and willing) to pay a hands-on attention that’s otherwise unheard of. For example, nearly 100% of their grape supply is under contract with growers they know and trust, and they’re making the wines with more lees contact and with spontaneous fermentation
