Hand harvested Merlot from three distinct clonal selections is combined with Cab Franc and Malbec to create a dark, aromatic, mouth full of wine. After de-stemming, the grapes soaked for two days at 52 degrees F to extract color prior to starting primary fermentation. Gentle punch down management of the ferment led to careful pressing and malo-lactic conversion in barrel. The wine was aged for 17 months in 20% new and 80% seasoned French Oak.
