"Aged for 18 months in French oak, this Merlot is the opposite of ostentatious; it's the dutiful student who does their homework and gathers parent-loving grades that propel in the long-run. The nose is black fruit and savory herbs on the outset and then waterfalls into baking spice and dried field grass. The palate is somewhat reserved and layered with relaxed tannins that support and elevate the fruit structure. Yarden Wines, Inc. Editor's Choice. —R.S."
