"The 2018 Mazoyères-Chambertin Grand Cru offers dark berry fruit on the nose; the deep soils lend concentration and hints of potpourri develop with time. The palate is very well defined with succulent black fruit and saturated tannins. Almost candied toward the finish, which leaves blueberry and cassis on the aftertaste. Perhaps Arnaud Mortet’s sexiest contribution toward this vintage."

"There are two ages of vine in the same plot, the younger trained in cordon, and Arnaud just kept the best grapes for this cuvée. The soil is deeper here and Arnaud decided not to use any whole bunches for this wine. Rich bright purple, with a wealth of fruit especially across the palate. Dense raspberry, with a line of cherry running through. This is very backward, not quite yet in place but with excellent potential."
