Langhe Nebbiolo, Cigliuti
From 20 year old vines in the south west facing Bricco di Neive cru, Cigliuti’s Langhe Nebbiolo is declassified from the production of their Vie Erte Barbaresco. The grapes are treated no differently than their Barbaresco. They are fermented for 20 days with indigenous yeasts in temperature-controlled, stainless steel tanks, and then transferred to large Slavonian oak cask for 5 months of aging. 2009 was the first vintage that this was produced with continuity, and average production runs form 200 to 500 cases.
