Islay Single Malt Whisky, '100% Islay' 10th Edition, Kilchoman Distillery
Kilchoman Distillery was founded in 2005 and is the first distillery to be built on Islay for over 120 years. Kilchoman displays all that is great about the grass-roots traditions of Scotch whisky distilling. As well as being one of only a handful of distilleries still practicing floor malting, barley is also grown on the farm, making Kilchoman the only distillery to employ all parts of the whisky making process on site. Kilchoman truly is Islay’s farm distillery—from barley to bottling.

The highly anticipated 10th edition of Kilchoman’s ‘100% Islay’ expression was distilled from barley grown on the Kilchoman farm and harvested in the seasons of 2007, 2009, and 2010. The resulting single malt whisky was matured in 39 ex-bourbon barrels and 2 oloroso sherry casks for a minimum of 9 years. A bright, floral nose of sweet citrus gives way to prune, cinnamon, and cooked apples & pears on the palate, finishing with waves of mildly spiced peat smoke and rich notes of sherry. 50% ABV
