Irpinia Aglianico ‘Quattro Confini’, B. Ferrara
100% Aglianico from Montemiletto, within the Taurasi DOCG appellation. The altitude is 500-700 meters, with an eastern exposure. The vines are between 10 and 15 years old, planted to limestone and calcareous clay soils. Fruit is destemmed before crushing, followed by fermentation and maceration in stainless steel and French oak. The wine is then aged in 70% French oak and 30% steel for approximately 1 year before bottling.
