Douro Tinto Reserva, Quinta do Romeu
A blend of organically-cultivated Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Sousão (Vinhão). Handpicked and fully destemmed before spontaneous fermentation in open-top granite treading tanks or lagares with gentle daily pigeage. Short post-fermentation maceration followed by twelve months’ elevage in mostly-used Austrian 225-500L barrels for 12 months. Unfined, unfiltered. 12.5% ABV—unheard of for most Douro Reservas!
