Press & Reviews
(all 2008 wine; made from a single vineyard in Cuisles; disgorged in March, 2013 after four years on its lees): Light gold. Complex, perfumed bouquet evokes tangerine, dried pear, anise and dusty minerals, with notes of ginger and chamomile building in the glass. Dry, focused and nicely concentrated, offering intense orchard and citrus fruit flavors with gentle floral and herbal nuances. Dense but lively Champagne with good finishing power and clarity.
The NV Brut Blanc de Blancs Anecdote Lieu Dit Les Varosses emerges from a parcel in Cuisles. Lemon confit, orchard fruit and floral nuances are now nicely mellowed by the passage of time in this disgorgement from a few years ago. This release marries the energy of the Moussé house style with the softer contours that can only develop in bottle. Dosage is 5 grams per liter. Disgorged: February 25, 2016.
