"A touch of greengage and lemon play alongside wet chalk on this wine's nose. The palate then spreads out across the mouth like a blanket of chalky coolness, tinged with lemon freshness. There is concentration, vivaciousness and a graceful stony and chalky elegance. The finish reveals richer creaminess that sits well with the chalk and lemon."

"The 2018 Chablis Montmain 1er Cru was vinified mainly in stainless steel and spent 9 months in barrel. It has a clean, fresh, slightly chalky nose that is nicely delineated and exudes much more Chablis DNA than the Village Cru. The palate is very well balanced, with a fine bead of acidity, and lightly honeyed in texture, revealing hints of dried mango and apricot. The finish is richer than expected. Very fine."
