100% Sangiovese from the iron-rich soils of Castelnuovo dell’Abate. First planted in 1975, the vines enjoy multiple exposures, allowing for choice fruit selection. Fermentation and maceration occurs over 20-25 days in temperature-controlled vats. Aging takes place in Slavonian and French oak barrels for 36-42 months before resting in bottle for 18 months prior to release.
