Bourbon #32, 115.34 Proof, Barrell Craft Spirits
  • A blend of 5, 6, 7, and 10-year-old barrels sourced from Kentucky, Indiana, and Tenneesee; blended and bottled in Louisville, Kentucky by Barrel Craft Spirits
  • A selection of 5 and 6-year-old barrels with a creamy, tropical profile are blended with a selection of 6, 7, and 10-year-old barrels vatted for their complex, woodsy character over the course of three months. Finally, a small amount of an additional 7-year-old bourbon with notes of cinnamon toast, coffee bean, and milk chocolate is added to the blend.
  • A woodsy, floral nose of dandelion, fennel, crushed apple, and charred cedar precede a rich and chewy palate full of spicy cinnamon, ginger, and boiled peanuts which recedes into a surprisingly crisp finish with notes of raspberry, orange, and turmeric.
  • Non-chill filtered; bottled at a cask strength of 57.67% ABV

Rich and decadent, with layers of cascading spice and nuttiness, Barrel’s Batch #32 Bourbon is meticulously constructed around a blend two sets of straight bourbon whiskies. Focused squarely on fresh oak and grass, the aroma calls to mind chopping wood in the yard on a late summer’s morning. The palate similarly supports these nostalgic characteristics, but dives further with a splash of water, opening to reveal a massively textured whiskey: rich and oily, it’s a trait often described as “Kentucky chew.”

Tasting Notes

Barrell’s Batch #32 115.34 Proof Bourbon begins with a meticulous blending and balancing of two sets of straight bourbon whiskies sourced from Kentucky, Indiana, and Tennessee. A selection of 5 and 6-year-old barrels with a notably creamy, tropical profile, and a selection of 6, 7, and 10-year-old barrels vatted for their complex, woodsy character were gradually blended over the course of three months. A small group of spice-driven 7-year-old barrels with notes of cinnamon toast, coffee bean, and milk chocolate were then carefully added to complete the blend. The result is a rich and decadent bourbon with cascading layers of spice and nuttiness. Focused squarely on fresh oak and grass, the aroma calls to mind chopping wood in the yard on a late summer’s morning. The palate similarly supports these nostalgic characteristics, but dives further with a splash of water, opening to reveal a massively textured whiskey: rich and oily, it’s a trait often described as “Kentucky chew.” Non-chill filtered; bottled at a cask strength of 57.67% ABV.
