"The 2012 Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Verzenay Les Basses Correttes Fins Lieux #6 is one of the most precise, sculpted Champagnes I have tasted from David Pehu. For a grower best known for his Pinots and Pinot-based wines, Pehu does a terrific job with the Basses Correttes. Lemon oil, chalk, mint, white pepper and slate add cut and brilliance to this beautifully focused, persistent Blanc de Blancs. A delicate, subtle mousse adds to the wine's considerable allure. I loved it. Dosage is 2 grams per liter. Disgorged: May 2, 2019."
