Barolo ‘Villero’, Giacomo Fenocchio
From 65 year old vines planted to the one-hectare cru of Villero. Vineyard sits at 300 meters above sea level, with iron-rich calcareous clay soils. Spontaneous fermentation and skin maceration takes place over 40 days. Wine is then aged 6 months in tank and 30 months in large Slavonian oak casks prior to bottling. 410 cases produced annually.
