Review:
Attractive dried flowers and herbs on offer here with a thread of dried cherries and a subtle, meaty edge. The palate has a long and juicy draw with fresh and vibrant tannins that give firm, chalky grip. Good ripeness and balance. Drink or hold.

Review:
The 2011 Barolo Riserva Ginestra is a fabulous choice for readers who want to enjoy a wine that has a good bit of complexity. Generous and inviting, with terrific supporting structure, the 2011 is an absolutely joy to taste today. The aromatics alone are beguiling, but the 2011 is a wonderfully complete and expressive wine that captures all of the magic Nebbiolo is capable of. Chalk, mineral and a host of saline-infused notes extend the finish and suggest the 2011 has everything it needs to develop beautifully over the next handful of years or more. Impressive.
