Barolo, Giacomo Fenocchio
100% Nebbiolo from a small parcel just outside of the Bussia. The vines, with an average age of 20 years, sit at 350 meters above sea level and are planted to clay, calcareous marl, and sand. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeast over 40 days in stainless steel. The wine then ages in Slavonian oak casks (25-35 hectoliter) for 30 months before refinement in the bottle prior to release. Approximately 600 cases produced.
