Barolo ‘Conca’, Mauro Molino
100% Nebbiolo from a .3ha parcel of ‘Conca,’ an amphitheater-shaped vineyard on the south side of the Molino property. Vines are planted with south to south-east exposure in calcareous clay soils. After harvest, the grapes are pressed and macerated on the skins for 10 days. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel before aging 18 months in French oak barriques followed by four months in bottle prior to release.
