Barolo ‘Castellero’, Giacomo Fenocchio
From the .8 hectare cru of Castellero, nestled between Bussia and Cannubi. The vineyard sits at 280 meters above sea level, planted to soils layered with marl, tuff, and a notable composition of sand. Vines have an average age of 30 years. After 40 days of spontaneous fermentation and maceration, wine is aged 6 months in tank and 30 months in large Slavonian oak casks prior to bottling. 330 cases produced annually.
