Barbera d'Alba 'Campass', Cigliuti
100% Barbera from 35 year old vines in the Campass single vineyard located in the Serraboella cru, where clay soils dominate. Vineyard sits at 350 meters above sea level and has a southeastern exposure. Fermentation and maceration occurs over 8-12 days in steel vats at controlled temperatures with indigenous yeasts. Aging takes place in a combination of new, second, and third use barrique for 18 months prior to bottling. Approximately 330 cases produced annually. First produced in 2000.
