Amarone ‘Punta di Villa’, Mazzi
70% Corvina, 25% Rondinella, 5% Other allowable red varieties, all from 30 year old vines planted in calcareous clay soils. The grapes dry until February and lose over 50% of their weight. Fermentation occurs on the skins for 14 days in steel vats with temperature control. The wine is then aged in French oak barriques for 24 months, and cellared in the bottle for 6 months.
